Best Camera Phones – When it comes to finding the finest camera phone, the options are endless, as smartphone cameras continue to improve. There are numerous good options, ranging from new handsets such as the Oppo Find X3 Pro with its microlens camera and the OnePlus 9 Pro with its Hasselblad tuning to the outstanding zoom of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and the superb overall photo performance of the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

There’s a lot to consider, including not just the sorts of lenses, but also how many lenses a phone has, how many megapixels it has, how well it performs in low light, and the software.

As a result, choosing the best camera phone entails more than just looking at a list of specifications, and the greatest one for you might not be the best for everyone, depending on your photographic goals. There’s a lot to think about when it comes to different lenses and performance differences between day and night, so we’ve compiled a list of our favorites.

That means that, while the list below is placed in order of our preference for overall camera capability, your tastes may differ. Still, any of these phones would be a terrific pick for anyone who wants to capture amazing images with their phone, and by reading our articles for each, you’ll have all the information you need to make the best decision.

And if something doesn’t seem right, come back soon because new phones are being announced and added to the list all the time. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, for example, is a potential candidate once we’ve given it a thorough review, while the Huawei P50 series is said to boast the world’s largest camera sensor and possibly some enormous lenses.

While the camera on the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra didn’t quite live up to expectations, the one on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra does.

The camera, like everything else on the S21 Ultra, is top-of-the-line, with a 108MP f/1.8 primary sensor, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor, and two telephoto cameras, which is almost unheard of on phones. Both cameras are 10 megapixels, but one has an f/2.4 aperture and 3x optical zoom, while the other has an f/4.9 aperture and a whopping 10x optical zoom.

And the results are just as remarkable as the numbers – so much so that in our Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra review, we named it the best camera zoom on a phone.

Non-zoomed photos are also impressive, though not always on par with the best competitors. However, when you combine a plethora of camera modes, including new ones like Director’s View (which allows you to capture video with both the front and rear cameras at the same time), with a highly powerful 40MP front-facing camera, you have a smartphone photographer’s dream.
