There are a few reasons why the latest Instagram features aren’t available on your account yet.
You can try a few tricks to get the latest Instagram features.
Here’s what you can do to help:
1. Make sure you’re using the most recent Instagram update.
Check to see if you have the most recent Instagram update installed on your phone by going to the App Store or Google Play Store.
2. Log out and back into your Instagram account.
Logging out and back into your Instagram account will often help. It’s as if you’re resetting your Instagram account.
3. Uninstall and reinstall the Instagram app.
If that doesn’t work, try deleting and reinstalling the Instagram app entirely.
4. Have patience.
You’ll have to wait if it doesn’t work after all of this.

Instagram typically launches new functionality in stages around the world. It’s typical for large apps to carry out new features in stages.
It’s possible that the new feature isn’t yet available in your country or on your account.
It’s also possible that one of your accounts already has the latest functionality, while another doesn’t. Which is strange. Shouldn’t both of your accounts have the same feature? It seems that Instagram is treating your accounts as different accounts (even though you are the owner of both).
We had the same experience: one of our accounts received a new feature before the other. Other accounts received the latest functionality a few weeks later.
The moral of the story is to wait.
Keep an eye on what you’ve shared on Instagram. You’ll likely get it soon.
5. If everything else fails, contact Instagram.
If you’ve been waiting for new features for months, get in touch with Instagram. Someone told us she didn’t have the Highlight feature for MONTHS, even though everybody else did. As a result, she contacted Instagram to let them know she was missing this feature. The Highlights appeared on her account a few days later.
To get in touch with Instagram, use the following information:
Go to Instagram’s settings (on the Instagram app)
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Choose “Report a problem” from the drop-down menu.
I understand how upset you are, but please be courteous. They’re probably inundated with emails every day. I’m sure a thoughtful email will brighten someone’s day (there are people behind computers). Bear in mind that they are attempting to assist you.
That concludes our discussion.
