Using Facebook Marketplace for Business

Using Facebook Marketplace for Business – About the Industry Marketplace This function is being progressively implemented, so it may not be available to you right now.

People use Marketplace to find, buy, and sell products, as well as communicate via Messenger. Although individuals can use Marketplace to list products for sale, companies can use it to:

Working with a Marketplace listing partner allows you to display a large amount of inventory for retail products, home rentals, cars, and event tickets (see the links below).

Even if your company doesn’t post directly on Marketplace, you can advertise your shop or products there to reach a wider audience.

Show fresh or refurbished pieces from your Facebook Page shop for free on Marketplace, and customers can buy them without ever leaving Facebook (limited to eligible sellers).

All Marketplace listings must adhere to our Commerce Policies (which outline what you can sell on Facebook) as well as our Community Standards (such as images and descriptions).

The marketplace is a great place to list your e-commerce inventory.

These are the e-commerce listing partners with whom we collaborate to display inventory on Marketplace. To have inventory appear in Marketplace on Facebook, e-commerce retailers can contact one of the following partners:

The marketplace is a great place to list dealership inventory.

This function is being gradually implemented, so it may not be available right now.

Dealerships that use a Marketplace inventory partner to display listings on Facebook will reach out to a wider audience. Following these measures, a dealership with a Facebook Page will begin listing inventory on Marketplace:

Your dealership can contact one of our Marketplace inventory partners to arrange for the listings to be added to Marketplace.

Links to the dealership’s Facebook page will be requested by your partner. To accept the request, the Facebook Page admin should go to Settings on the Page and look for the Pending partner requests portion.

If appropriate, your dealership’s live chat provider should be linked to Messenger. If you don’t use live chat, your partner will arrange for customers to fill out instant forms.

Notice that while there are no fees to list inventory on Marketplace, there may be fees to collaborate with our partners.

Create advertisements for Marketplace.

This feature is being rolled out in stages, so it may not be available right now.

You can have your Facebook ad show in Marketplace when you make it in Ads Manager to reach more people.

To make an ad for Marketplace, follow these steps:

As an ad goal, go to Ads Manager and choose Brand Awareness, Reach, Traffic, Video Views, Lead Generation, Event Responses, Messages, Conversions, Catalogue Sales, or Store Traffic. Then press the Continue button.

Select your travel destination.

Choose your target market and identify your audience.

Select either Automatic or Edit placements.

Automatic placements are recommended. If you prefer Edit placements, keep in mind the Marketplace isn’t available as standalone ad placement, so you’ll need to include News Feed in your ad campaign.

Make a budget and a schedule for yourself. When you’re done, click Next.

Select the innovative format for your ad.

The video and image specifications are the same as in News Feed. Keep in mind that in Marketplace, you can’t crop or upload specific creative for advertising.

When you’re done with your ad, click Done and then Place Order.

People will see your ad after we review and approve it when they search Marketplace on the Facebook app on their computer.
