Using POP Settings, you can download emails from Yahoo! Mail. 

What You Should Do 

Create a new Yahoo Mail email account in your email client. 

Put pop.mail.yahoo.com in the Server field, 995 in the Port field, and Yes in the Requires SSL field. 

Copy/paste the file to the desired location by going to Account Settings > Data Files > your Yahoo account > Open File Location. 

This article explains how to use Post Office Protocols (POP) to download your Yahoo Mail messages to your machine and then transfer them to another location if needed. 

Using POP3 to Save Emails to a Device 

The steps for setting up your Yahoo Mail account for POP access in Outlook on Windows are mentioned below, but they apply to any email client and platform.

How to Locate, Transfer, and View Your Email File 

Using the account settings, you can copy, paste, and view your Yahoo Mail file: 

Return to the File tab and choose Account Settings > Account Settings from the drop-down menu.

Pick your Yahoo Mail account, then Open File Location from the drop-down menu.

Each email client has its setup process, and some make it easier by automatically populating server settings when you choose Yahoo Mail as your email account. Many email clients, on the other hand, set up Yahoo Mail access automatically using the more widely used IMAP protocol. As a result, when configuring your Yahoo Mail account in your email app, you’ll need to choose POP as the protocol. You may be asked to access Yahoo Mail’s POP settings as well.
