You need to register first to be able to use the GTBank internet banking portal. There are two registration methods, online and offline methods. So, the steps to direct you are the following:

1. Check your GTB Balance Online

Download the internet banking application and token request form from GTBank.

Complete the form, scan it along with other necessary documents, i.e. valid ID, utility bill not older than 3 months & passport photograph, and submit it to www.internetbanking@gtbank.com.

Wait until your request is processed and your GTBank internet banking user ID and password will be emailed to you if accepted.

If you have not received login information, call GTBank customer care or visit the GTBank website, click sign up and provide your registered number with the necessary details or dial *737*6*5#.

Go to the login page for GTBank online banking and click on Login under Internet Banking.

Go through the notice of the scam warning and click on ‘Click to login here.’
Using your keyboard to enter your user ID and the onscreen keyboard to enter a password.

To access your GTBank online banking dashboard, then click on Login.

2. Check your GTB Balance Online

With a valid ID and a utility bill of 1-3 months old, go to any GTBank branch closer to you.

Collect and complete a form for Internet banking and token requests.
You may decide to buy a token that is N2000-Naira 2500. A token is a digital device that produces special numbers randomly required to make transactions with third parties.

After your application has been accepted, your login information will be emailed to you.

Go to the login page for GTB online banking and log in with your UserID and Password.

How to check the balance of GTBank accounts

To verify your GTBank account balance, there are two ways. There are:
1. Through a web banking platform

2. Via your cellular phone
Via the Banking Internet Portal

Login into your platform on the internet
Click on the account balance check button.

2. Using Dial-up SMS

Send an SMS in this format specifying your account number: Bal(space)Account number, for instance, Bal 1234567891 to 08076665555. An SMS saying your account balance will be sent to you.
