The success of the film welcomed him with open arms to Nollywood and won him a nomination at the Africa Movie Academy Awards for Best Comic Act to Watch.
One of the best comic actors in Nigeria was Dede One Day. He performed mostly with late Sam Loco Efe, John Okafor, Charles Inojie, Charles Awurum, Victor Osuagwu, Nkem Owoh, and Chiwetalu Agu in comedy movies. In acting and reading movie roles, he is gifted, professional, imaginative, and talented. He can step into any role that film directors have given him and know how to portray his roles in a comic way.

Before his death, with an approximate net worth of $400,000, Dede One Day was one of Nigeria’s richest and most successful comic actors.
