How to use SD cards as internal memory Android phones – When deciding the kind of phone to buy and the storage space that comes with it, phone storage is often a significant consideration.
It’s not strange to note that phones are more costly than those with wider phone memory spaces.
Without the possibility of constant hanging and flagging, internal memory protection guarantees the smooth running of mobile devices.
However, since not all fingers are equal, without going overboard with our spending, we all prefer to go for gadgets we can afford.
And when this happens and we potentially end up buying a phone with a memory space that is not so big, we can still opt to get an external SD card and factor it in as an internal one.
So, that’s what this article is going to be about. In order to convert your external SD card to the one used internally, it will work through the procedures of what to do.
Google has built in an option to use your external storage (micro SD) as your native internal storage, starting with Android Marshmallow. In order to do so, follow this step-by-step guide.
Have you ever been in that situation where your mobile shows a ‘Insufficient Storage’ warning? While most of the flagships now come with 64 GB, 128 GB or even 256 GB of internal storage, the budget and mid-range models are still under the internal storage layer of 16 GB or even 8 GB.
Well, you might assume that the job should be done by a computer with 8GB of internal storage and expandable storage.
No, although the external SD (microSD card) is perfect for storing pictures, videos, music etc. or even some of your app data, despite transferring it to ‘microSD card’ later, most of the apps are mounted on the internal storage of your computer.
Therefore, soon after you decide to put a decent number of apps on your smartphone, the popular ugly alert (Insufficient Storage) pops up. But we’re here to help you out, not to worry.
