2022 Hyundai Tucson Preview
An official glimpse of the 2022 Tucson has been given by the Korean ahead of its unveiling. An unveiling which will take place on the 14th of September this year.
The South Korean automaker has released a series of images on Wednesday and a video of the 2022 Tucson.
These images and video previews both the interior and exterior style of the new SUV. The video confirmed that the new SUV will debut on September 14 at 7:30 pm. You should know that the 2022 Hyundai Tucson is ready for the unveiling and is however going to be wild.
Hyundai’s global design boss, Sangyup Lee, says that the design for the new Tucson continued the marque’s Sensuous Sportiness design language. He added by saying, “with there all-new Tucson, we are introducing its ultimate evolution and a definite statement about Hyundai’s unstoppable forward momentum.”
According to Hyundai, the new Tucson is bigger and wider than its predecessor (the outgoing model). As it has a stretched wheelbase to provide a “couple-like character.”
Even though Hyundai released just one photo of the interior of the SUV, the design is quite visible. The width of the dashboard appears to have Air vents similar to that found in Tesla Model 3.
The grille has the same angular pattern which was seen on the Vision T, with headlights integrated into the design. However, Hyundai calls it Parametric Hidden lights. The vertical portions of the taillights are different from that of the Vision T, with its simplicity and narrow bars.
Meanwhile, you should know that the Tucson will be available in both short- and long-wheelbase models.
2022 Hyundai Tucson Interior
The inside of the new SUV will feature a low, horizontal dashboard design with an embedded digital cluster. The entire center console of the dashboard appears to be a large touchscreen with no real buttons. And also a push-button selector. There are only a few buttons on the four-spoke steering wheel, which however also contributes to a rather sparse look.
The 2022 Tucsons interior displays Hyundai’s vision of a “dual-cockpit layout”. It comes with a large portrait-angled touchscreen built into the center of the dashboard and minimal use of physical switchgear.
The New SUVs Powertrain
Its powertrain hasn’t been shared in detail yet. However, you should keep in expectancy an inline-4, a turbo-4, and e plug-in hybrid powertrain eventually.
