Sometimes a photo seems like a good idea one day only to turn out to be not such a good idea the next. That or maybe you’re just looking to purge your Instagram account because you’re trying to clean up your image or get off the grid. Whatever your reasons, the power is yours to make those photos go away.

HOW TO DELETE INSTAGRAM PHOTOS
First of all, you’ll have to do it from the app. Instagram provides no clear way to remove photos from the website. The good news is if you delete them from the app, they’ll disappear from the website as well.
- Open the Instagram app
- Tap the home icon.

- Expand the photo you want to delete.
- Tap the three dots in the upper right-hand corner
- Tap Delete.

BUT WHAT ABOUT MULTIPLE PHOTOS?
What if you have several photos you want to remove but don’t want to go through deleting them one at a time? That’s a little easier said than done. Instagram doesn’t provide any tools for mass deleting images. Thankfully, some other developers have stepped up to the plate.
Consider trying one of these apps for mass deleting images from Instagram.
InstaClean Cleaner
Instant CleanerMany of these cleaners will also allow you to mass unfollow or mass delete followers, making it altogether easier to manage your Instagram account.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
Let’s use InstaClean as an example. The app can be downloaded for free, although in-app purchases will allow you to unlock additional functions.
- Log in to the app using your Instagram login.
- Tap the posts icon.

- Tap Options.

- Tap Select all.

- Tap Delete.
If you only want to delete a handful, tap on the photos individually to select them. If you decide that you don’t want to actually delete your Instagram photos, return to options and tap Deselect all.
