7) Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Program (SURE-P)
This program, also known as SURE-P, was developed by the Federal Government of Nigeria during the tenure of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
The aim is to reinvest the Federal Government’s savings from the elimination of fuel subsidies in specific infrastructure projects and social safety net programs that directly benefit Nigerian people. This is a critical component of the Nigerian Federal Government’s Transformation Agenda.
8) Youth Initiative for Sustainable Agriculture in Nigeria (YISA)
The aim of this program is to correct, promote, educate, empower, train, and help young people who wish to pursue agriculture as a business rather than a development project.
It is composed of a diverse group of young people, including graduates and non-graduates of agricultural disciplines. The program is open to youth involved in agriculture.
9) Graduate Internship Scheme (GIS)
The GIS aims to mobilize 5000 qualified youth graduates as interns in successful and functional private/public sector firms in order to facilitate the development of manpower required to drive the nation’s transformation agenda and vision. 20:20:20
10) Youth Entrepreneur Support Program (YES-P)
This initiative is part of BOI’s effort to solve Nigeria’s troubling case of youth unemployment by fostering youth potential and supporting their entrepreneurial ideas.
The YES program is dedicated to providing youth with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed as self-employed individuals. Participants will be selected from among young aspiring entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35 who are creative and possess a minimum educational qualification of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND).
Applicants are expected to register for this program online and provide correct responses to the required questions. These responses assist in selecting candidates for the program.
The classroom trainings will be conducted by BOI-accredited partner training institutes and will take place over a two-year period in selected locations throughout Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. Following that, the final assessment and selection of candidates who apply for funding will take place.
