Gtbank Customer Service Number – Guaranty Trust Bank PLC also known as GTBank or simply GTB is a Nigerian multinational financial company headquartered in Victoria Island, Lagos, that provides online/internet banking, retail banking, corporate banking, investment banking, and asset management services.

Over 35 young Nigerians in their thirties founded the bank in 1988, led by Tayo Aderinokun and Fola Adeola, but also included Femi Pedro, Gbolade Osibodu, Femi Akingbe, Akin Opeodu, and others.

Guaranty Trust Bank PLC was established in 1990 as a limited liability company with a license to provide commercial and other banking services to Nigerians. It began operations in February 1991.

Guaranty Trust Bank plc became a publicly traded corporation in September 1996 and was awarded the President’s Merit Award by the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The Bank received a universal banking license in February 2002 and was later designated as a settlement bank by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in 2003.

Guaranty Trust Bank raised about N11 billion from Nigerian investors in its second share sale in 2004, allowing the bank to expand its operations.

GTBank became the first sub-Saharan bank and the first Nigerian joint stock company to be listed on the London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse on July 26, 2007. The initial public offering (IPO) raised US$750 million. They also successfully placed Nigeria’s first private Eurobond offering on international capital markets in the same year.

The GTBank USD 500,000,000 Eurobond was the first-ever Benchmark Eurobond issue by a Nigerian company, and it was GTBank’s second Eurobond program in the last five years.

Guaranty Trust Bank plc’s long-term obligations are rated BB- by Standard & Poor’s and AA- by Fitch Grades, the highest ratings for a Nigerian bank.

They introduced Internet banking and SMS banking in Nigeria, as well as a naira-denominated MasterCard, the Platinum and World Signia cards, and mobile branches with GTB-on-wheels.

The Nigerian Postal Service released a set of GTBank Anniversary postage stamps to mark the bank’s 20th anniversary. This was the first time a corporate entity in Nigeria had been honored in this manner.

By market capitalization, the bank became Nigeria’s largest bank in 2011.

Soon after, Fina Bank’s branches and subsidiaries were renamed GT Bank.

The Bank issued a US$400,000,000 Euro bond in 2013 at a coupon rate of 6%, the lowest ever achieved by a Nigerian corporation on the international capital market. The Eurobond was sold to investors in Africa, America, Asia, and Europe as part of the US$2,000,000 Global Medium Term Note Program, which is registered under Regulation in the United States and Rule 144A in the United Kingdom.

In Nigeria, GTBank plc operates 231 branches, 17 Cash Centres, 18 e-branches, 41 GTExpress locations, and over 1165 ATMs.

Cote d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda are among the countries where GTBank has expanded. These countries are members of the “Eco zone.” It now has a presence in the United Kingdom.

As of December 2013, GTBank had expanded into the East African market by acquiring a 70% share in Fina Bank. As a result, Fina Bank will be renamed and rebranded as GTBank subsidiaries.
