Causes of a Corrupted PS4 Database

There’s an issue with the game or app program if the error code is accompanied by CE-34875-7 or NP-32062-3.

Typically, this error occurs after a faulty installation. Delete the corrupted download and try installing the software again if this happens.

The problem can also occur while playing, commonly when the visuals and sound begin to splutter. Reinstall the game and/or restore your account licenses to fix this.

You may have a hard disk problem if you get the notice while booting your console and it starts in safe mode. Rebuilding the database and reinstalling the PS4 operating system are two alternatives.

How to Fix Corrupted Data on PS4

When you notice the error, the best solution will be determined. From easiest to most challenging, here are your alternatives.

Step 1

Delete and reinstall the game. If you’re having trouble with a specific game, the software is probably contaminated, and you should uninstall it. You will not lose any stored data, and the game may be reinstalled from the disc, your Library, or the PlayStation Store.

Step 2

Delete any files that have been corrupted during the download process. If the problem occurs when downloading a game, follow these steps:

  • On the home screen, go to Notifications.
  • Click the controller, press the Options button.
  • Then choose Downloads.
  • Press Options once more to choose the corrupted file (it will be grayed out).
  • Then choose Delete.

Remove the game disc and clean it. If you’re installing a game from a disc, remove the disc and wipe the underside with a microfiber cloth to remove any corrupted data. Then try again to install it.

The software should be updated. If the problem occurs during or after an update, go to the game’s home screen on the PS4, click Options, and then Check for Update to reinstall the update.

Recover your PlayStation 4 software licenses. There may be a problem between your PlayStation account and your game licenses in rare cases. Go to Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses to fix the problem.

Rebuild the database by starting the PS4 in safe mode. Choose the option to rebuild the database if your console can start in safe mode.

Because Bluetooth isn’t supported in Safe Mode, you’ll need to use a USB-connected controller to manage the system.

This procedure will not erase any game data, but it will check for corrupted system files. If your PS4 does not automatically boot into safe mode, turn it off and hold down the power button until you hear a second beep.

When you’re having sluggish speed and long load times, rebuilding the database can assist.

Set up your PlayStation 4 (PS4). Choose Initialize PS4 from the safe mode menu, or go to Settings > Initialization > Initialize PS4 > Quick to restore the machine to its default settings.

This procedure will completely delete your console’s data. If feasible, back up your game data to an external device using a PS4 data recovery application like Stellar Data Recovery.

Your PS4 will require a hard reset. If your console still won’t start, try reinstalling the operating system. You’ll lose everything on your hard drive if you don’t initially try to retrieve your data. You can re-download the program you purchased using your PSN account, which is a good thing.

Sony can repair or replace your PS4. If your PS4 is still under warranty, visit Sony’s PlayStation Fix and Replace website to determine if you qualify for a free repair or replacement.

The PS4’s hard drive should be replaced. If the warranty on your hard drive has expired and resetting the OS has failed, you can replace it with another PS4-compatible hard drive. Switch back to the original PS4 hard drive and reinstall the operating system if you previously replaced it with a different HDD.
