How to Restore Permanently Deleted Files on a Laptop (Windows 10).

You must have erased essential files on your Windows laptop or PC, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Such an occurrence is inconvenient, especially if the file is required.

Deleted files are normally relocated to the Recycle Bin, where they can be readily restored with a few mouse clicks. If you don’t do it, the file will stay in the Recycle Bin for another 30 days before being permanently removed.

The file or folder will be permanently removed if you delete it with Shift + Delete, empty the Recycle Bin, or clean the laptop using a cleaning application.

However, you need not be concerned since, while it has been permanently destroyed, it does not mean that the file has vanished entirely from the laptop. The system has recognized the deleted file as available space, and it is waiting to be overwritten by fresh data.

That is, you can still restore your deleted data if they haven’t been overwritten. As detailed here, there are three techniques to restore permanently deleted files on a Windows laptop.

3 Ways to Restore Permanently Deleted Files on a Laptop

1. Backup and Restore Method

This method, which may be used for Windows 7, 8, and 10, can restore files that have been permanently deleted on a laptop without the need of software. However, you may only use this procedure if you have the most recent data backup in Windows backup.

This is done by selecting Control Panel from the Start menu with the Windows icon. After that, go to System and Maintenance and choose Backup and Restore.

To select a previous backup, click Restore my files and select Browse for files or Browse for folders. Then choose where you want to save your file.

2. Restore Method Previous Versions

If you have a laptop running Windows 7, 8, or 10, you can restore files that have been permanently erased by reverting to an earlier version. However, make sure that your File History function is turned on first.

The first step in restoring the file is to locate the folder where the file or folder was permanently destroyed. Right-click the folder and choose Restore prior versions from the context menu.

A list of different versions of files or folders will appear. To restore files that have been permanently erased, select the most recent version and click Restore.

3. Using the Application

The two approaches described above can be carried out without the need of any additional software. If you don’t have a backup or can’t do the way above, you can use a program like EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to restore files.

The trick is to download and install EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard on your laptop or desktop computer. Then, as normal, run the program and select the location where your data will be removed.

Select the Scan option after clicking the location. This software will scan the selected place automatically, and the scan results will be displayed in the Deleted files area a few moments later.

Select the file you wish to recover and then click Recover to save it to a new place or device. After that, click OK to finish the procedure.

What do you think, guys? Isn’t it true that the three approaches listed above are fairly simple?
