How To Transfer Data On Your Etisalat (9Mobile) The 9mobile network allows subscribers to share data with friends and family via moreblaze. With the moreblaze family plan, you can give data to loved ones, transfer part of your data bundle with the data balance transfer feature, use your airtime to buy a data plan for someone else with data gifting, and with the multi-device plan, you can cover up to four devices with just one data plan. It is not necessary to migrate from your current tariff to be able to transfer MB on the Etisalat network; instead, you can use any of the methods listed below.
Data balance transfer
This enables you to send information to a friend. You can make a one-time data transfer from your bundle if you have at least 100MB of data. Each transaction can be between 10MB and 50MB in size, with a maximum of five transactions per day. It functions in the same way that an airtime transfer does.
If you use the internet on multiple devices, 9mobile’s multi-device plan is perfect for you. You can connect four more devices with a single plan on your smartphone. You’ll have to rely on wifi hotspots, which drain your battery. You can also buy larger data plans with multi-device, so you get more data for your money.

- choose option 3 for data
- select option 5
- buy a data bundle
- share your data
To transfer data, dial:
*229*recipient*Amount Of MB then followed by # e.g *229*08083253341*50# OR *229*recipient*Amount Of MB*pin# eg.*229*08083253341*50*pin#. Default Security Pin is=0000 After doing this, the total MB you specified will be transferred to the number you entered.
Your primary smartphone should be used to set up all of your other secondary devices. We recommend keeping your primary sim in your blackberry phone if you normally subscribe to a 9mobile blackberry plan because data sharing will not work.
You’ll need new, non-activated sims to finish the process (which must be data SIMs). Make a note of your PUC (personal unlocking code), which can be found on the SIM card frame.
To opt in:
- dial: *215*pin*1*newnumber*newpuk#
- SMS: send “add new number,1,PIN,new PUK” to 215
- for subsequent SIM, replace ‘1’ with ‘2’, ‘3’ or ‘4’
- the PIN is the personal security code of the main (primary) SIM. default PIN is 0000
- you make a note of your PUK (personal unlocking code) from the SIM card frame.(secondary SIM)
