GCON (also known as Mike Adenuga) was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, on April 29th, 1953 to Oloye Micheal Agbolade Adenuga Snr. Juliana Oyindamola Adenuga, his mother, is from a royal family in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun state. Adenuga, a millionaire businessman, is the chairman of Conoil and the creator of Globacom Limited (GLO), a privately held global telecommunications corporation based in Lagos.
