Post a GIF on Facebook.
The Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) is a bitmap picture format created by a team led by American computer scientist Steve Wilhite at online services provider CompuServe and launched on June 15, 1987. Due to its vast support and compatibility between programs and operating systems, it has now become widely used on the World Wide Web.
Although everyone is aware that you can upload static photos to Facebook, few are aware that GIFs, or small animated pictures, are also supported. Animated GIFs are wonderful for conveying emotions and sharing memes that are difficult to convey with only text.
GIFs can be used as a status update or a comment, and the technique is similar for both.
Sometimes a GIF expresses something better than any text comment could. Animated GIFs are a terrific way to add something interesting to your Facebook status or break up the text-only comments on your friend’s most recent update, no matter what your motive for utilizing one is.
GIFs can be used in a variety of ways on Facebook, such as your status, a remark alone, or comment with text. Here are the basic actions to follow in each case.

How to use Giphy to post a GIF
You may also search GIPHY in a separate tab if you can’t find what you’re looking for. The website allows you to search through a large number of GIFs that have been uploaded by users and brands. Additionally, you can upload and make your own GIFs. You can look through the numerous categories on the site, such as “entertainment” and “reactions,” or simply type in your own keywords. Original animated GIFs by illustrators, artists, designers, and other creative folks can be found in the “artists” area.
Copy and paste the URL of the GIF you want into your Facebook status once you’ve found it.
You can then either replace the complete URL with your text or leave it blank, as in this status:
