The price of the Samsung Galaxy A51 smartphone is Rs 22,999 in India. On 29 January 2020, the Samsung Galaxy A51 was released in the region (Official).

There are 1 other storage and RAM models for the smartphone – Samsung-Galaxy-A51-8GB-RAM. The Samsung Galaxy A51 smartphone comes in Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Pink, Prism Crush Blue colors with regard to the color choices.

Assessment of the Samsung A51

Samsung A51 Features and General Review – In the last couple of years, Samsung’s A-series of Galaxy phones have been doing very well. They have been quite a success story for the South Korean tech giant, aimed at the mid-range market.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is Samsung’s newest, recently launched with major and ‘awesome’ promises like battery, monitor, camera, and more.

So, we decided to test the smartphone to see whether Samsung has a winner or not on its side. At the price of Rs 23,999, which includes 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, Samsung released the smartphone in just one version.

Three color choices are available for the smartphone — Black, White and Blue.
Plan for the Samsung Galaxy A51:
The smartphone is reasonably slim with a maximum thickness of 7.9 mm, and curved corners offer added grip when holding the smartphone, and we never felt the smartphone fall from our hand during our test.

Like most smartphones in 2020, the back has a quad-camera setup along with an LED flash housed in a rectangular casing.
The fundamentals of the smartphone are right, too.

At the bottom, there is a charging and data transmission Type-C USB port, speaker grille, primary microphones, and everybody will be delighted to see the good old mobile headphone jack in 2020.

The addition of the triple slot SIM card tray that allows users to insert two SIM cards along with a microSD card at the same time is another thing that we were pleased about. It is located on the smartphone’s left side.

The smartphone’s right side has the power and volume controls.
As Samsung is known for producing high quality items, the design of the smartphone is no surprise.

Galaxy A51 Samsung: View

Samsung A51 Features and General Review – Another part of the smartphone where Samsung smartphones shine is the display. The Samsung Galaxy A51 comes with an Infinity-O 6.5-inch FHD+ SuperAMOLED panel.

The ‘O’ also has 32MP from the sensor of the camera.
The monitor has small bezels, but there is still a thicker side of the chin on the smartphone. Thanks to the less reflective nature of the glass, the brightness levels of the Galaxy A51 are sufficiently bright, which helps to reduce the glare and increases the display’s visibility in bright daylight conditions.

The Super AMOLED panel’s overall quality is also strong and provides deep blacks and a well-saturated image production.

The display also houses the in-display fingerprint scanner that from the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A50s has certainly improved. It’s fast, but not as fast as the flagship Galaxy smartphones’ physical or ultrasonic sensors.

Samsung Galaxy A51: Productivity

Samsung A51 Features and General Review – The Samsung Exynos 9611 processor is powered by the Galaxy A51, which is the same processor that powered the Galaxy M30 last year.

The Exynos 9611 is a capable processor, and compared to the Exynos 9610 powered by the Galaxy A50, it is also in a higher state of tune.

The Galaxy A51 has enough punch in it to fulfill the day-to-day tasks of users with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

The loading speed of the app was very good during our test, including for games. Multi-tasking was a breeze, and during the test we did not note a random lag or stutter.

The output of gaming here is also strong, and we have tried to play Call of Duty Mobile, Asphalt, PUBG Mobile and some lightweight games such as Subway Surfer, Candy Crush, etc. We must admit that it was the processor that managed to handle the load.

Based on the Android 10 operating system, the smartphone runs One UI 2.0. One UI 2.0 brings subtle changes and optimizations over the previous version and we are pleased to see that Samsung has chosen to offer mid-range phones with some flagship features such as Connect to Windows, etc.

One UI 2.0 is now more polished than ever before and provides a better user experience.

It comes with menu options that are well laid out, easy-to-use buttons, one-hand mode, game booster, etc.
It also comes with features such as Ultra-data saving, Samsung Max, Samsung Pay complete edition, Bixby and more, just like any other A-series handset.

Samsung has also provided several extra tech features to boost the user experience while talking about features. Smart messages, which automatically filter important messages and place them under a useful card, are the first function of the list.

It also automatically detects the coupons that will expire soon and places them at the top of the Deals list, which also helps to keep the clutter-free inbox section.
The second useful function is the intelligent search method. Suppose you want to eat biryani, just open the biryani launcher and type it in.

From the apps installed on your mobile, the search will locate all the biryani dishes available near you. We tried the function and almost every time, it managed to locate the dish.

Overall, the Galaxy A51 manages to balance performance and functionality.

Galaxy A51 Samsung: Camera

Samsung A51 Features and General Review – Samsung has also introduced a multi-camera setup at the rear, following the trend. Including a 48MP main sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 12MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP depth and 5MP macro lens, the Galaxy A51 comes with a quad-camera setup at the back.

The smartphone comes with a 32MP sensor on the front.
With the One UI 2.0 update, Samsung has also made several improvements to the camera gui.

The camera UI will be familiar to you with the mode selector ribbon placed at the bottom along with the shutter, preview and camera turn buttons, and features such as flash toggle, aspect ratio and more are placed at the top if you have used any recently launched Samsung smartphone.

The app itself is easy to load and also provides rapid shutter speed.
The 48MP sensor on a Samsung smartphone, moving to the image quality, is no surprise. In daylight conditions, it manages to get equal pictures with plenty of details and colors.

The buildings in our camera sample have plenty of information, and compared to other smartphones, the dynamic range is also equal.
A new 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens has also been added by Samsung, which now enables .5x images to be captured.

The sensor also manages to achieve images of decent quality. In the corner of the images, there is no excessive softening and the distortion is also properly handled during daylight.

When we took out the lights from the frame, however, things began to shift. The noise crept in, losing the details of the photos. Samsung has included the Night mode in the camera, that helps during the low light condition.

But, pictures in the night mode seemed to be overworked. Images are far clearer and include far more information than the usual mode, no doubt, yet, somehow, we got oversaturated photos that weren’t at all nice. A much less hostile approach here we would have appreciated.

A further addition is the macro lens that does not have autofocus in it for some reason. Although holding the subject in view, we tried to capture many pictures and failed.

We did manage to catch a few images, however, and the 5MP sensor is more than adequate for a macro shot, and considering all the limitations it has, the quality is also decent.
Overall, the Galaxy A51 is a proficient shooter and easily manages most circumstances.

Battery, Samsung Galaxy A51:

The Samsung Galaxy A51 has a 4000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support, which is also the only smartphone complaint we have.

We would have loved to see a slightly faster-charging alternative at this price. However, the smartphone’s battery backup is strong and on mixed use it lasted for almost more than a day.

Galaxy A51 Samsung: Verdict

Samsung A51 Features and General Review – The Galaxy A51 enhances those necessary aspects, such as a better camera, enhanced display and better battery life. Although it feels somewhat overpriced for the type of role and value it provides, at the price of Rs 23,999.

But the Galaxy A51 offers a good balance between features, price and efficiency, with improved performance, display, battery, design and camera. It’s more than a professional phone for those who are.
